About

Welcome to the website of the ERASMUS+ Cooperation Partnership project GENERA-COPA Integrate gender, diversity and inclusion in teaching and research in the math-intensive STEM fields.

The project tackles the challenge of attracting and retaining minoritized groups in math-intensive STEM fields. It aims to transform higher education curricula and culture by incorporating gender and diversity perspectives. The project builds university and research capacity to reform education systems and ensures sustainability by training local “critical friends” as trainers across Europe.

The topics addressed in this project — gender, diversity, and inclusion — are of high societal and scientific value and align closely with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They transcend disciplinary boundaries and affect many dimensions of human life and progress.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES
The project’s activities focus on:

  • Collecting resources, including evidence-based research, best practices, and toolboxes
  • Developing blended learning courses for young higher education teachers
  • Conducting transformative, bifocal mentorship programs for early-stage researchers
  • Training trainers as “critical friends” to build future capacity
  • Organizing conferences and outreach events

EXPECTED RESULTS
The consortium, part of the GENERA Network, will facilitate widespread dissemination across Europe, since it represents a wide range of expertise and experience in the application of gender perspective and promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion within math-intensive STEM fields. The activities of the project will support institutions in introducing a gender and diversity perspective in the curricula, raising their capacity and incorporate trained trainers to support future development.l follow soon.
